Call, Explain to them that you are shopping for an inspector and ask for 1) pricing and 2) when WRITTEN report will be delivered and 3) do they have time within the next 2 weeks to do Inspection? Ask for their fees of the items you want, such as,Radon, Well, Specific Water Tests, Septic etc…explain about any concerns you might have about the property you are specifically interested in.

Since I am not an expert inspector of inspectors myself, it is important you ask lots of questions and learn what any inspection can or cannot do.

Such as inspectors, do not look at roofs if roofs are snow covered…they do not open up walls or disturb the current owner’s property in any way to Investigate. So do ask many questions at the inspection and ask what is critical to know regarding your purchase or that property. Fees are usually expected at the Inspection and are non-refundable. Fees based on size of property to be inspected and what services are required by you.
